Strictly Come Prancing, dancing for the Shakespeare Hospice in Stratford on Avon
Posted on
Last Sunday, I was one of many people who spent the day dancing and helping to raise money for the Shakespeare Hospice in Stratford on Avon.
Nine non dancers (I was one of those!) were given an experienced dancer to guide them through learning two dances. Everyone had to learn a waltz and then one other dance. Mine was the jive so I was throwing myself around to some Jerry Lee Lewis and great balls of fire.
Everyone was judged and at the end of the evening I am really proud to say that myself and my partner Claire actually won !
If you need proof here is the trophy on my mantelpiece !
We managed to raise nearly £2000 so the real winner was the Shakespeare Hospice.
If you would like to hear a flavour of what went on then here is part of the evening recorded on the night...
